happy jazz day

João has worked as a recording engineer with many wonderful artists and musicians. Jazz legend Alexey Kuznetsov’s album “Happy Jazz Day” was one of the most memorable recordings he’s had the pleasure of being a part of. Here’s a clip from the session day, as a little example of the privilege it was to be a part of such sublime musical celebration.

A heteronym of João's, under which his first album has been released, on mpmp.

It's the OST album to the documentary "Vizinhos Vicini Buren Nachbarn Neighbours", about Pritzker Prize winner architect Álvaro Siza Vieira and his social architecture work in four European cities. The album cover was designed by Siza himself.

Ted talk

João had the distinct honour of being one of the speakers at the very first TEDx BerkleeValencia event, in June 2014. In his talk, he speaks about his own life experience to explain the importance of being able to push aside our ego and desire to be successful in order to really enjoy what we are doing and cultivate our creativity.
